Unlike most Australian 3PLs, we own our fleet, our depots and our warehouses. We employ our drivers, our dock staff and our operations teams directly. That’s a deliberate choice, and it’s the reason our on-time delivery rate sits at 99.5% and our freight accuracy at 99%. When something needs to happen at 2am on a Sunday, the same operations team you spoke to on Monday morning is the one making it happen.
What refrigerated transport means, and what it demands
Refrigerated transport is the movement of goods that must stay within a defined temperature range from collection to delivery. In practice, that means chilled produce, frozen meat, seafood, dairy, confectionery, pharmaceuticals and ready-to-eat food – anything where a break in the cold chain means product loss, compliance failure or both. It demands specialised trailers, monitored refrigeration units, trained drivers and accredited food-safety systems.
Our fleet is built for that standard. Average vehicle age is 2.5 years. Every trailer runs remote temperature monitoring on both the load space and the fridge motor, with live data available to customers through our self-serve booking portal. Chain of Responsibility compliance is third-party audited on a scheduled basis and drivers operate under automated real-time fatigue, maintenance and mass management systems. We hold eight independent certifications across compliance, food safety and sustainability, including ATCC Master Code certification.

We run daily express road and rail linehaul between the eastern seaboard capitals, regular services to Adelaide and Perth, and PBS-certified vehicle configurations carrying up to 92 pallet spaces per run – legally moving up to 35% more freight per vehicle than standard configurations. Cross-dock and warehousing facilities in our depot network handle transfers between linehaul and local distribution, and our Road Train Initiative delivers CO2 savings of up to 830 metric tonnes annually for participating customers.
Local pickup and last-mile delivery is handled by our own metro fleets in NSW, QLD, VIC and SA, never handed off to subcontractors. One operator, one point of accountability, cold chain integrity from your dock to your customer’s.

Damian Moore and Alex Parkinson founded New Tech Refrigerated Logistics in 2021 to fix what was broken in cold chain linehaul — high prices, aged-out fleets and layers of outsourcing between shipper and driver. Five years on, we run our own trucks, our own depots and our own people, cab to control room. Founder-led, service-first, no shortcuts.

New Tech Refrigerated Logistics carries freezer, chiller, dry, confectionery and produce freight across the full cold chain range. Chilled goods are typically maintained at 0–4°C, frozen at -18°C to -25°C, and dry goods at controlled ambient temperatures. Every trailer is fitted with a monitored refrigeration unit and remote temperature sensors that log data continuously from collection to delivery.

Every trailer and fridge motor runs remote temperature monitoring that streams data live to our operations centre and to customers via our self-serve portal. Combined with 24-hour GPS tracking, in-vehicle video surveillance, geo-fenced waypoints and automated alerts for temperature deviation, our team can respond to any issue in real time. Full temperature logs are available for every consignment.
