COLD CHAIN LOGISTICS
Refrigerated Meat Transport, Australia-Wide
New Tech Refrigerated Logistics is a PrimeSafe-accredited carrier of chilled and frozen meat across Australia.
From processor to distribution centre, wholesaler to retailer, we move carton and boxed meat through a company-owned cold chain built to the standards the meat industry demands — full temperature traceability, audited compliance systems, and directly employed drivers who understand the freight they're carrying.
We hold PrimeSafe accreditation, CODEX HACCP certification, ATCC Master Code certification, and NSW Food Authority approval — eight independent certifications in total across compliance, food safety and sustainability. For meat producers, processors and distributors, that means the paperwork your own auditors expect is already in place before your first pallet moves.
What refrigerated meat transport demands
Meat is one of the most tightly regulated freight categories in Australia. Under AS 4696:2023 (the Australian Standard for the Hygienic Production and Transportation of Meat), retail meat must be transported at or below 5°C. In practice, chilled meat travels at 0–2°C and frozen meat at -18°C or colder — with continuous temperature logging, sanitised load spaces, and a Food Safety Management Statement backing every consignment.
Every trailer in the New Tech fleet is fitted with monitored refrigeration units and remote temperature sensors that stream data live to our operations centre and to customers through our self-serve portal. Load spaces are cleaned and sanitised between consignments to prevent cross-contamination, drivers are trained in food-safe handling, and Chain of Responsibility compliance is independently audited on a scheduled basis. If a temperature deviates outside the setpoint at 3am on the Newell Highway, our team knows within minutes — not on delivery.
National cold chain logistics
Company-owned depots in NSW, QLD, VIC and SA anchor our national network, backed by an exclusive audited partner network in WA, NT and Tasmania. We run daily express road and rail linehaul between the east coast capitals, regular services to Adelaide and Perth, and PBS-certified trailer configurations carrying up to 92 pallet spaces per run.
For meat producers, that means one operator handling collection, linehaul, cold storage and last-mile delivery — no subbies, no handoffs to unknown carriers, no gaps in the temperature record. Cross-dock facilities in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane handle transfers between linehaul and local distribution, and over 10,000 square metres of certified food-safe warehousing sits within the same footprint, with dedicated freezer, chiller, dry and produce temperature zones.

We specialise in the transport of carton meat and boxed meat — pre-packaged, palletised chilled or frozen meat destined for wholesalers, distribution centres, retailers and food service. This is the highest-volume category in Australian meat freight and where our cold chain and cross-dock network is built to perform.

Load spaces are cleaned and sanitised between consignments in accordance with our food-safety compliance systems. Where meat is co-loaded with other refrigerated freight, product separation and packaging integrity are managed to prevent cross-contamination. Drivers, dock and warehouse staff are trained in food-safe handling, and our facilities carry certified food-safe accreditation.
